“After trying other AC companies in the area, I ended up calling Hamstra Heating & Cooling for a second opinion — which honestly became my first real opinion, since another large company (claims to be #1 in southern Arizona) wouldn’t even provide a repair quote and only pushed replacing the entire system.

I just had Jeff out today for annual maintenance, and he took the time to address a minor issue that was causing the compressor to make excessive noise during startup. The difference was immediate.

“Tech Robert Arvizu did EXCELLENT AC service today PLUS! He diagnosed what might be wrong, ran the AC at high level to test both compressors, and everything tested good. He diagnosed what was wrong, informed us of the item and cost, then installed two new locking caps and "Schrader" cores to prevent refrigerant loss. PLUS he fixed in 5 minutes an anchor screw to the air return grill, that has been loose and previous Hamstra Technicians could not fix. Robert can diagnose and fix things. Thanks!”

“In my experience, Hamstra is a class act. When they first met with me they walked me carefully through my options, ensuring I understood them. The follow-up was polite and not intrusive. When I contracted with them, they were extremely helpful in working with my roof installers to ensure their timing coincided as my A/C unit is up on the roof, which was also being replaced. They were prompt and they took the time to ensure i understood my new thermostat. Their salesperson then visited me a week later to ensure the system was working properly and that i was happy with my new system (yes and yes!). They will also be doing a one-month follow-up–I really appreciate the care they take in ensuring customer satisfaction and I'm glad I chose Hamstra for this replacement.”
