Hamstra joins with the City of Tucson to plant trees across the Old Pueblo!
Tucson’s Mayor will plant the 10,000th tree with students at Oyama Elementary School and set a goal for the next 10,000 trees.
This Friday, Sept. 26, Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will mark the completion of his first 10,000 Trees Campaign by planting a tree with students at Oyama Elementary School.
“We’ve had a great response from the community, with folks logging in to our website to record trees they plant,” said Mayor Rothschild. “Nurseries, community and church groups, schools and parks all have helped increase Tucson’s tree canopy through this program. With their continued help and with the help of Trees for Tucson and our generous sponsors, I look forward to reaching our next 10,000 trees goal.”
Tucson Electric Power, Trico Electric Cooperative, Long Realty, Chapman Honda and Hamstra Heating & Cooling were major sponsors for the first 10,000 Trees Campaign. For the second 10,000 Trees Campaign, they are joined by new sponsor Kinder Morgan…
Parent Aide Recoat Project
On April 13th our Hamstra Helping Hands team donated Koot-Koat, roof tar, new condensation drain pipe and labor to re-coat the roof over at Parent Aide. 4 members of our team spent nearly all day on the roof making sure that their facility is in solid shape for the hot summer and wet monsoon season.
The 20th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk for the Arizona M/S Society
In March 2013 Hamstra Heating & Cooling participated in the 20th annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk for the Arizona M/S Society. Through donations and sponsorship we were able to contribute over $6,000 to research and development for a cure for M/S. American Standard donated a 13 SEER A/C System and Hamstra donated the installation (a $7,500 value) which we auctioned off for $3,000 at the event. What a great event with lots of Hamstra blue out there!
Youth On Their Own
Hamstra Heating & Cooling is a proud supporter of Youth on Their Own, a Tucson nonprofit dropout prevention program that fosters the high school graduation of homeless unaccompanied Tucson youth 13 to 21. Students are enrolled in public schools, including charter and alternative schools, and the program motivates them to obtain their high school diplomas despite personal and financial hardship. To learn more about helping Youth on Their Own, please visit www.yoto.org.
Hamstra Heating & Cooling packed and packed and provided over 77 brand new backpacks and supplies to help students who had little or no school supplies. Here are a few pictures from our day of service.
You guys have really made a difference for our students and we are so grateful. Thank you for all you do!
Let us know if we can support you in any way for your next drive.”
