Air Filters
We recommend checking the filters monthly. This means removing them and holding them up to the light. If more than half of the surface area is restricting light, they should be cleaned or replaced. Though they may not need to be cleaned or replaced necessarily every month based on the type of filter but this creates a good habit. The easiest way to remember is to check when the energy bill gets paid.
What does MERV mean?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. “An air filter’s MERV rating measures how effectively the filter stops dust and other contaminants from passing through the filter and into the air stream. Filters with higher MERV ratings trap small particles more effectively than filters with lower MERV ratings.
When selecting the right filter for your application, higher is not always better. Using an air filter with a MERV rating higher than what your furnace or air conditioner manufacturer recommends can actually impair its performance.
The smaller pores in more highly rated air filters create resistance to air flow, and if the filter is used in an HVAC system that is not designed to handle this resistance, it can lower the system’s efficiency, decrease indoor air quality, and put strain on the system’s fan.”

- Competitive Pricing — Our pricing on standard sizes of 1” and 2” pleated filters is lower than the pricing you’ll find in most big-box stores! You can save even more if you buy a box of air filters (12 in total) that will last you at least a year.

Canned Food Drive
We completed our summer long canned food drive. Thank you to those who donated and a BIG thank you to Jen Hall Racing, TEP and the Better Business Bureau of Tucson. These teams worked very hard to collect cans with us this summer. We appreciate everyone coming together to support our community.
